Last year's first Riverdale Jewish Festival of the Arts was a ten day celebration of Jewish arts and culture that featured 300 local and national artists through 36 events and attracted 3,000 participants. Seventeen organizations collaborated to make the Festival's debut such a success and comments on the evaluations overwhelmingly attested to the strength of this program and the desire for more. This year's Festival will take place from November 10-18, 2007 and will address the theme "Being Jewish in a Multi-Cultural World: Fostering a Multi-Cultural Conversation," a theme borne, in part, out of the overwhelming success of last year's Shalom Ireland program.
